


XCOM admittedly is a game that does this really, really well. I do however think that the mecha genre is about more than just mechs but also their pilots, and that a game like this can gain a whole lot of replayability with customization and variety in pilots as well as mecha. True, it does have a pretty decent Front Mission feel to it and as a fan of old-school Front Mission, that's a reason I'm looking forward to.
